Cupcake 2048 Order: Every Tile from 2 to 4096

This is the complete order for our original numbered-candle edition. Standard mode ends at 2048; the final 4096 cupcake appears as the Hard Mode target. The candle always shows the exact tile value.

Cupcake merge math

The table assumes every source tile began as value 2. “Combining merges” counts every merge in the complete binary merge tree, not just the final merge. The score column is the score produced while assembling the target entirely from value-2 tiles.

Actual runs need fewer value-2 spawns whenever the game supplies a value-4 tile. Because each new tile is 2 with 90% probability and 4 with 10% probability, this table is a reproducible upper-bound reference for starter-tile count, not a prediction of move count.

How the cupcake order works

Every merge doubles the value: 2 + 2 becomes 4, 4 + 4 becomes 8, and the pattern continues through 2048 and 4096. The number of required starter tiles also doubles at every tier.

In real games, some new tiles spawn as value 4, so you may need fewer value-2 spawns than the theoretical number listed above. The list describes value, not a promised number of moves.
